Saturday 8th September is Sports Hub Day 12–4pm

All pupils, parents, grandparents and community club organisers are welcome to visit Newbattle High school PE department to try a new Sport, watch sport happening, ski on the mobile slope, climb on the Climbing wall or have a cup of tea and a biscuit and find out more about how you can use our facilities for your health & well being.

Newbattle PE Department achieves UK-wide recognition

Last night the Newbattle PE department won an award at the Gala Dinner of the Youth Sports Trust, recognising the department’s outstanding work in raising aspirations and inspiring positive changes through sport.

Mr Foley is runner up in Sky Sports Sport Teacher of the Year awards

Congratulations to Bob Foley, Principal Teacher of PE, who was runner-up in the Sky Sports Living For Sport Teacher of the Year. Bob received his award from Darren Campbell at Wembley Stadium last week. Cash linked with the award will be used in the school’s Living For Sport project related to the Olympic Torch’s journey through Midlothian and also for the staging of a mini Olympics here at school. Well done Bob!
